Like many of the things I’ve found recently, I can’t remember exactly how I found my way to it, but this is a beautiful site by a Portuguese girl who is documenting her research about traditional craft techniques in her country. I loved this page in particular, which takes you through the entire process of spinning yarn, from which parts of wool create the finest yarn, to the spinning process, and when you finally get down to the ball of yarn at the end of the post (something which, if taken alone would look completely ordinary), it looks like the most beautiful thing you’ve ever seen, perfect and glowing.
